At the start of 2018, Alexander Petalas opened the Perimeter, a private exhibition space in Bloomsbury where visitors can view part of his collection by appointment. The displays change frequently, with an adjoining library and working archive storing more of the collection. Petalas is co-chair of the Tate Young Patrons group, which he has been involved with for many years, and he dedicates part of his time to its development, with the aim of growing it into the foremost group of art enthusiasts under 40 in London. Of Greek origin, Petalas studied classics at Brown University before moving to London.
