For her first solo museum show in the UK, Annie Morris has created a new series of her ‘stack’ sculptures for the Weston Gallery at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (25 September–6 February 2022). Assemblages of vividly coloured, intentionally imperfect spheres of cast bronze, these works are at once monumental and seemingly precarious. Also on display at YSP is an example of the British artist’s ‘thread paintings’, made up of steel-framed strips of embroidered canvas, continuing her long-standing interest in textiles. Find out more from the YSP’s website.
