This exhibition displays works by contemporary Tibetan artists alongside historical pieces, in order to highlight how current practitioners adopt and adapt both Himalayan visual forms and elements of Tibetan Buddhist art and philosophy. The exhibition includes paintings, multimedia works, performances on video, and collage, drawing from diverse visual traditions – from thangka painting to American Pop art.
