Piermatteo D’Amelia’s Annunciation

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

NOW CLOSED

Close Up

This exhibition inaugurates a new series entitled Close Up. Every year, the museum will feature a single work of art in Gardner’s collection and show it to you in a new light. This February the museum will explore the impact of the Italian Renaissance on contemporary art. Hostetter Gallery sets the stage for a dialogue between a study for Emergence, a video installation by Bill Viola on special loan from the Yale University Art Gallery, and The Annunciation by Piermatteo D’Amelia. Find out more about the ‘Close Up’ exhibitions from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s website.
