Black Dancing
Emmanuel Saulnier confronts such issues as collective memory, presence and disappearance. For his solo show at Palais de Tokyo, he is presenting several series of works, some for the first time. Poetic correspondences appear in the spaces between the transparency of glass, the artist’s favourite material, and sculpted wood, asphalt or dried ink, whose darkness alludes to the night of the soul.
