Some 60 artworks by Venetian masters of the 18th century are on display in this exhibition, with paintings from the Pushkin State Museum’s own holdings shown alongside loans from public and private collections in Italy. The works demonstrate a variety of genres, from vedute cityscapes to comic street scenes, united by the vibrant colours typical of Venetian rococo. The exhibition includes works by Giambattista Tiepolo, Giovanni Battista Pittoni, Luca Carlevarijs, Giovanni Battista Piazzetta, Giovanni Antonio Canal (Canaletto), Francesco Guardi and Pietro Longhi. Find out more about ‘From Tiepolo to Canaletto and Guardi’ from the Pushkin State Museum’s website.
