The Ringling Museum of Art

Sarasota, Florida

NOW CLOSED

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art’s new Kotler-Coville Glass Pavilion will be opened to the public on 22 January 2018. The space brings several initiatives to completion, including the development and display of The Ringling’s collection of international studio glass; a formal entrance for the Historic Asolo Theater; and rehearsal spaces for guest performing artists. Designed by Lewis + Whitlock, its sculptural glass façade will enable glimpses of works from the outside. The majority of the glass that will be displayed initially will come from the gift of The Philip and Nancy Kotler Glass Collection and The Warren J. and Margot E. Coville Glass Collection. For this premiere installation, around 45 works of modern and contemporary glass art will be on view, highlighting the diversity and quality of The Ringling’s collection. Find out more about the Kotler-Coville Glass Pavilion from The Ringling’s website.
