Liu Dan

Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

New Landscapes and Old Masters

Liu Dan (b. 1953) is one of China’s leading artists, at the forefront of the generation of painters who have been working in radically new ways in the traditional medium of ink.

The exhibition will include two new, ink paintings that owe a debt to Raphael, presented alongside Raphael drawings from the Ashmolean’s collection. Read more.
