The deserted Fagor-Brandt home appliance factory in Lyon’s old industrial district is the centre of the 15th Lyon Biennale, titled ‘Where Water Comes Together with Other Water’ after a poetry collection by Raymond Carver. Site-specific works have been commissioned from more than 50 artists, with many responding to the architecture of the factory, or reflecting upon the broader socioeconomic history of the region. The central exhibition extends to the Lyon Museum of Contemporary Art, while a host of associated exhibitions have been arranged throughout the greater Lyon region.
