This exhibition is the first major survey of her work in Southeast Asia, and will focus on the immersive and expansive nature of her practice. It invites audiences to discover Yayoi Kusama’s creative vision through paintings, sculptures, videos and installations from the 1950s to the present, including works never shown before. Step into her mirror rooms, explore the development of her intricate nets, dots and motifs, and encounter new paintings in which the artist continues to push boundaries. It will examine how Kusama’s works have defied societal and personal challenges to create an impact in the art world. Find out more about the Yayoi Kusama exhibition from the National Gallery of Singapore’s website.
