A new exhibition at Pallant House Gallery re-examines the work and career of Leon Underwood. The versatile artist, who worked in sculpture, painting and printmaking, taught and inspired numerous British artists including Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and Eileen Agar. His own work was rooted in his study of the human figure, and informed by his travels to Mexico and West Africa.
