Gallery: ‘Poetry of the Metropolis’ at the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt

A celebration of the tattered, torn and pioneering work of the Affichistes

The Affichistes found inspiration in the tattered, torn posters and advertisements caught on walls throughout the streets of Rome and Paris. A new exhibition at the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt celebrates the movement, which despite being associated with the 1960s was in fact pioneered in the ’50s.
