The Helsinki Biennial opens on 12 June for its inaugural edition, taking place online and in person at various sites on Vallisaari island and mainland Helsinki (until 26 September). More than three quarters of the works in the exhibition, which is titled ‘The Same Sea’, were newly commissioned for the biennial – a total of 41 artists are included. A solo exhibition of works by Katharina Grosse, a participant in the biennial, will take place at the same time at Helsinki Art Museum. Find out more on the Helsinki Biennial’s website.
