Since founding her eponymous gallery in 2008, Jessica Silverman has become one of the city’s leading dealer-curators, attracting an impressive degree of international attention with her select but diverse stable of artists. Silverman prides herself on the gallery’s open-minded, concept-driven programme – it’s as likely to show contemporary figurative as abstract work. As she has put it, good collecting means ‘buying with your eyes, not your ears’.
