These days, many collectors enjoy gathering experiences as much as they do acquiring artworks. That’s the rationale behind the Cultivist, the ‘global arts club’ founded by Marlies Verhoeven and Daisy Peat in 2015 with the aim of providing members with VIP access to museums, galleries and art fairs across the world, alongside a programme of exclusive events such as studio visits and customised art tours. It’s a field that the pair know inside out: in their previous roles, they launched and managed the Sotheby’s Preferred programme.
