The Albertina Museum in Vienna (7 July–6 November) charts the development of the British sculptor Tony Cragg, taking in the breadth of the artist’s career, from earlier figurative works to the abstract forms of his later sculptures. The display of more than 20 works demonstrates the artist’s diverse and unusual use of material, from Kevlar and fibreglass to wood, stone and steel. The exhibition will also host a rarely seen array of Cragg’s drawings, including preliminary sketches and theoretical accounts of the artist’s creative practice. Highlights include the irregular glass sculpture Compound (2015) and the abstract stainless steel figure Justine (2015). Find out more on the Albertina’s website.
