Head of Exhibitions, Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai
As head of exhibitions, Nora Razian has been in charge of programming at Jameel Arts Centre since it opened in November 2018, working with its extensive contemporary art collection to present solo shows by artists including Mounira Al Solh, Farah Al Qasimi and Chiharu Shiota. Razian’s curatorial practice has often focused on artists’ responses to the climate crisis; in 2016, she curated the exhibition ‘Let’s Talk About the Weather: Art and Ecology in a Time of Crisis’ at the Sursock Museum in Beirut, where she was head of programmes and exhibitions from 2015–17. For six years before that she was the curator of public programmes at Tate, London.
