Indifference or inspiration? Hate or fascination? From 13 October 2015 onwards the musée des Confluences invites you to explore the ambivalent relationships that art and the machine have fostered for a long time now. From the dream of a world saved by technology to disillusionment, from fascination with the mechanical object to the creation of new forms, this exhibition will captivate all art enthusiasts, lovers of things mechanical and great dreamers.
Art and the Machine brings together in a surface area of 1,500 square metres more than 200 notable works from 70 European museums and private lenders.
