The RIBA Library holds 60,000 negatives and 20,000 prints by the Edwin Smith, donated by his widow and collaborator Olive Cook. The artist’s photographs of architectural and urban spaces are evocative works which won the praise of architects, critics and photographers alike, including John Betjeman and Cecil Beaton.
