In 2014 Van Gogh’s Sunflowers were reunited at London’s National Gallery: this year it’s the turn of his Roses and Irises. This exhibition brings together a quartet of flower paintings executed by Van Gogh in 1890, on the eve of his departure from the asylum at Saint-Rémy. Irises and Roses, both owned by the Met, are shown alongside Irises from the Van Gogh Museum and Roses from the NGA, Washington. Which do you prefer?
