Yale’s first exhibition devoted to Whistler charts the artist’s development through three early sets of etchings made in Paris, London and Venice. Featuring more than 100 works from the museums holdings, it includes Black Lion Wharf of 1859 – one of 16 etchings from the Thames Set.
