30th Anniversary of MMCA Gwacheon Archive

This archival exhibition is to be held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the opening of MMCA Gwacheon. In anticipation of the 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Seoul Olympics, the Korean Ministry of Culture made plans relocated the MMCA Korea to the Seoul Grand Park, a large recreational site outside of Seoul’s urban center, in order to demonstrate that Korea’s cultural development was in step with economic growth.
