Julia Hutt is curator in the Asian Department of the V&A, with particular responsibility for the collection of Japanese lacquerwork, Inrō, and netsuke and with a special interest in ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
Julia is also tutor and lecturer for the MA in East Asian Art at Sotheby’s Institute, London. Julia has published widely and her main publications include Understanding Far Eastern Art (1987), Japanese Inrō (1997) and Japanese Netsuke (2003).
