Ruth Asawa was trained at the famous Black Mountain College and is better known for her wire sculptures and public fountains. This exhibition focuses instead on a series of prints she produced while completing a residency at the Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Los Angeles. Away from home, she concentrated on depicting her family members and friends, or intimate images of chairs, flowers and other domestic still lifes.
