Drawn into Tomorrow

This winter, DCA is delighted to present the largest UK exhibition to date by Finnish artist duo IC-98, fresh from representing Finland at the Venice Biennale 2015. The galleries will be transformed by large-scale projections of the pair’s extraordinary, richly detailed works, which combine intricate hand drawings with digital animation.

Works in this exhibition include Abendland (Hours, Years, Aeons), which focuses on a gnarled, towering tree creaking ominously in the darkened galleries. Arkhipelagos (Navigating the Tides of Time) features rafts struggling amidst all-encompassing waves; while A View from the Other Side depicts a 19th century portico in Turku, Finland as the seasons and centuries change around it.
