Johann Friedrich Städel was an enthusiastic collector of drawings and prints by the French artist Jean-Jacques de Boissieu (1736–1810). This display of the artist’s work, which usually depicts scenes from in and around his native city of Lyon, is selected from the museum’s substantial holdings.
