The role and experiences of Scottish men and women in the the First World War are commemorated in this exhibition. Drawing primarily on works in the National Galleries of Scotland, it features significant figures including the artists Sir James Gunn and Sir William Gillies, Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig, and James Keir Hardie who was against Britain’s involvement in the conflict.
