Internationally renowned for her large-scale work situated between applied arts, sculpture and performance, Hicks has distinguished herself over the past five decades as one of the most influential figures in contemporary art working with fibre and yarn.
Hicks’ installation in Project Space is a commission created in response to the gallery’s location and design, as well as to the accompanying Waterloo Sunset Pavilion designed by architect Dan Graham.
