This year’s second exhibition in the Louisiana on Paper series – after David Hockney – is a large selection of graphic work by the American artist Terry Winters. Winters (born in 1949 in Brooklyn, New York) is also a painter, but in his graphic work he expresses his full potential.
Few have explored every corner of this medium’s possibilities as he has done. The Louisiana on Paper series is intended to open up large artistic worlds in a small format – on paper – and thus present a different kind of art experience than that of more ostentatious works, because looking at art on paper is often like reading. Terry Winters gives the viewer a chance to enter into another world where the small signs arouse our emotions.
