Luis de Morales was one of the most original and recognisable artists of the Spanish Renaissance and a key reference point in painting in Extremadura in the second half of the 16th century. Morales was considered to have his own particular style, a distinguishable “brand name” that appears in numerous inventories and is represented in many Spanish and international collections.
