Wang Yin’s paintings explore a complex set of formal and narrative relationships among a recurring group of characters and environments, often commenting on China’s intellectual and cultural history. From 29 March to 27 May, 2016, the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) presents “Wang Yin: The Gift,” a survey of over forty works from the last several years of the artist’s career, many of which have not yet been publicly shown.
