Once again Waddesdon is celebrating light at this festive time of year with a new installation in the Gardens by internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro.
…—… (SOS) is a mesmerising new audio-visual installation by Munro. As 168 glowing tents wind their way through the gardens, their flashing colours and shifting sounds are interrupted by an urgent Morse code distress signal. Inspired by disaster relief charity ShelterBox, the work is a reminder of people and places throughout the world in need of help. Munro’s work is often concerned with human frailty and resilience, and is all the more poignant in light of the current international refugee crisis.
