Master of Spain’s Golden Age

This is the first major retrospective of Francisco de Zurbarán’s work to be staged in Belgium. The Spanish Baroque painter was a contemporary of Velázquez and Murillo, and is highly regarded as one of the leading painters of the Counter-Reformation.The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of events exploring the wider cultural revival in Spain over the period.
