Giovanni da Udine

4 June 2021

Held at the Castello di Udine, this is the first exhibition devoted to the Renaissance master Giovanni da Udine (12 June–12 September). After making his name in Rome, where he was an assistant to Raphael and was knighted for his work on several papal commissions, the artist returned to his hometown in 1522. Visitors will enter the galleries via a staircase designed by Giovanni himself; other local examples of his work will also be highlighted as part of the exhibition. Find out more from the Civic Museums of Udine website.
