Silicon Valley has become a hotspot for young collectors, and one of the most prominent is the co-founder of Instagram, Mike Krieger. Krieger’s tastes favour abstract and conceptual work, and his collection includes sculpture and installation works by artists including Danh Vō, Sophie Calle, Abraham Cruzvillegas, and Pierre Huyghe. With his wife Kaitlyn, he founded the Future Justice Fund in 2015, which works towards criminal justice reform in the US; they also support cultural institutions, including SFMOMA.
