Long a driving force in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Apollo Circle, for which he also acts as chair, Alejandro Santo Domingo became the museum’s youngest trustee when he was elected to its board in 2009. A managing director at investment firm Quadrant Capital Advisors, he also manages a family-owned conglomerate that has major interests in brewing and businesses in Colombia. He is an avid art collector and a keen philanthropist, with much of his patronage focused on health and social welfare organisations in the US and South America – including DKMS Americas, Aid for AIDS, the ALAS Foundation and Endeavour Colombia.
