In modern times, hatching (closely drawn lines used to suggest form or shadow in a work of art) has been somewhat overlooked in favour of clean outlines and abstract flatness. This exhibition of drawings by a variety of artists, from Leonardo da Vinci to Vincent van Gogh, encourages visitors to study and celebrate the timeless technique.
