Maryam Al Dabbagh

Managing Director, Rouya Consultancy and Ila Al Aman, Sharjah

UAE-born consultant Maryam Al Dabbagh is co-founder, with Yusur Al Dabbagh, of Rouya, which has become one of the leading Emirati public relations and cultural communications companies since it was established in 2017. She has worked on campaigns for the Sharjah Art Foundation, Art Dubai and the UAE pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale, among others. She is also founding director of the Ila Al Amam agency, which provides specialised content to cultural organisations. Dabbagh, who completed an MA in Global Media and Postnational Communications at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, has published essays on identity politics in the UAE and the development of cultural content in the region.
