Apollo

Degas at the Opera

Musée d’Orsay, Paris

NOW CLOSED

Degas once called the Paris Opera ‘his own room’ – a place where he could indulge his fascination with dancers in motion. This show reveals what the French Impressionist learned there about perspective and light, as well as what his work can tell us about a night at the opera in the 19th century. Find out more from the Musée d’Orsay’s website.
