The rare loan of Paris Street; Rainy Day (1877) – coming to Berlin from the Art Institute of Chicago – is the highlight of this exhibition, which looks at how Caillebotte’s distinctive take on modern urban life, as well as his financial clout, helped to drive Impressionism forward.
