Modern Art of South America from the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Collection

This exhibition celebrates some of the most experimental and influential art to come out of South America in the last 100 years. Focusing on artists and movements in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and Caracas, it demonstrates how their radical formal innovations and experiments with new media, kinetic and performance art, was to alter the course of contemporary art in the region and further afield.
