Spectacle and Role Playing in Contemporary Art

Opera, theatre and ballet have held a particular fascination for visual artists since time immemorial, as they drew their inspiration from the ornate theatre architecture, opulent stage settings, fantastic costumes and rousing performances.
With approximately 70 works from the Goetz Collection, the exhibition illustrates how the interplay between art and the stage has continued down to the present day. Read more.
