How is a city defined by its buildings, and how might architecture influence its future? Now in its 10th year, the London Festival of Architecture celebrates the capital as a hub of experiment and innovation, and asks questions of those charged with its future development. Leading institutions including the Royal Academy of Arts, Design Museum, Serpentine Galleries and National Trust will play a role in this year’s programme, for which the theme is, appropriately, CAPITAL. A full programme of events, activities and debates can be found on the festival website, but here’s a taster of what’s on offer. Click on any image to open the slideshow.
The London Festival of Architecture runs from 1–30 June with a city-wide events programme.
