Apollo

Franz West

Centre Pompidou, Paris

NOW CLOSED

This comprehensive survey of the late Austrian artist includes around 200 works, and charts his career from the papier-mâché forms of the early 1970s – which viewers were encouraged to handle – to his recent, bright outdoor works. The show includes a selection of his furniture pieces, his Lemur Heads, and later collages and drawings, revealing an artist who constantly sought to erode the barriers between artwork and viewer. Find out more about the Franz West exhibition from the Pompidou’s website.
