For his latest solo exhibition, the video and installation artist Neïl Beloufa has created a new work, Global Agreement, composed of a series of walk-in sculptural installations in the Schirn Rotunda. In parts of these sculptures, clips of filmed interviews are visible; seen together as a form of collage, they demonstrate Beloufa’s interest in themes of military power, weapons, fitness, beauty, and the cult of the body. Turning the Schirn into a form of stage – on which the viewer becomes a part of the performance – Beloufa continues his career-long inquiry into the staging of power. Find out more about the ‘Global Agreement’ exhibition from the Schirn’s website.
