Apollo

Peabody Essex Museum

Salem

NOW CLOSED

The opening of the new 40,000-square-foot wing at the Peabody Essex, designed by Ennead Architects, will be marked with the unveiling of 13 newly installed galleries at the museum. These will host temporary displays as well as permanent installations drawn from the museum’s holdings of maritime art, Asian (and Asian-influenced) art, and fashion and design. The $125m expansion project – part of the museum’s broader Connect Campaign, which has raised some $600m to date – also includes a 5,000-square-foot garden. Find out more from the PEM’s website.
